Sustainability
Environmental resources are finite, so our office implements many sustainable practices to meet today's needs without compromising the needs of future generations.
Amalgam Separators
Amalgam separators are devices designed to remove amalgam waste particles from dental office wastewater and allow environmentally sound disposal of old silver fillings. The placement and removal of silver fillings generates amalgam waste that is suctioned into the dental vacuum lines. Amalgam separators prevent this waste from being discharged in to the public sewer system.
Steam Sterilization of Instruments
We use a steam-based, surgical-grade instrument sterilization system which contains no harmful chemicals and reduces water use.
Recycling
We reduce, reuse, and recycle to the fullest extent possible without compromising your health.
Digital X-Rays
We use digital xrays that minimize xray exposure to our patients. There is no waiting or processing time, a clearer image is produced, and the "films" become part of your digital record that is easy to store and share.
Low-Energy Lighting
We use low-energy lighting throughout our office. At the end of a bulbs lifespan, we make sure to dispose of them using Ottawa County’s hazardous waste program.
